How Brain Imaging Can Help
Rich started experiencing severe neurological problems in 2003. He couldn’t walk down a hallway without bumping into walls. He couldn’t put a sentence together. Desperate, he endured five MRIs over nine months in hopes of determining the source of the problem. The tests, however, resolved nothing.
“They (the neurologists) couldn’t figure it out,” recalled Rich.
Then Rich found CereScan High Definition Brain Imaging. Rich had High Definition Brain SPECT

imaging done and learned that his neurological issues were the result of the closure of blood vessels on one side of his brain. Doctors prescribed three over-the-counter supplements and within 10 weeks, Rich was walking and talking again.
“I was massively better,” said Rich, who feared that without the help of the SPECT scan, his condition would’ve continued undetected and would’ve grown worse – leaving him unable to care for himself.
“What was it worth to me?” said Rich when asked about of the value of the scan. “My life. Literally, my life.”

At CereScan, we help patients like Rich everyday through our brain imaging technology. We use information captured from the SPECT scan to identify the underlying causes of a wide range of brain based disorders, from depression and bipolar disorder to Alzheimer’s disease and brain injuries.
